Our Not Alone Program allows women who have experienced abortion to come alongside one another, encourage one another, and go through the ups and downs of life with one another.
This Biblical model of mentorship is beautifully modeled by Elizabeth in the Gospel of Luke. When Mary, the mother of Jesus, was informed of her pregnancy, she went to Elizabeth. Elizabeth was experiencing a similar journey but further along in the process, and would have been able to comfort Mary, give her perspective, and celebrate what God was doing in her life. Elizabeth was able to affirm Mary's faith in God, and we can assume she mentored her during those months they were together.
Not Forgotten Ministries mentors are referred to as Sisters. We are all sisters in Christ! Having a sister to depend on will be a blessing to each one of us as we walk out the abundant life God desires for us. Sisters will encourage one another to trust God and His Word as the ultimate, most significant source of wise counsel. God's Word is our spiritual nourishment, and it provides wisdom on every aspect of life..
Mary accepted God's will for her life, but Elizabeth was the one who helped her prepare herself for it.
Post-abortive men and women will rarely find healing and walk in wholeness on their own. That’s why having someone who understands what they’re going through is so important. We hope our Not Alone Program will help provide guidance, friendship, and much needed support for post-abortive women seeking healing.
